2010 Bordeaux Futures & Incredible Storage Deal

"It is a little unsettling to realize that 2009 and 2010 may be the greatest back to back Bordeaux vintages produced in the history of the region." Robert Parker

That’s right…Bordeaux has done it again in 2010, and we are extremely excited about this year’s futures campaign and proud to announce an insane storage deal that will enable you to focus your piggy bank on the wines instead of their storage. The campaign started in earnest this week with top wines like Pontet Canet, Gruaud Larose and Leoville Poyferre releasing into the market among others, and we are working hard with our negociants to secure allocations of this remarkable vintage. Offers will be coming shortly, so please email me if you are interested in anything you’ve already seen released. Next week, we will publish our 2010 Vintage Report and from today onwards, you will receive emails detailing the wines, prices and availability.

The Vines at Cos d’Estournel

We appreciate the opportunity to discuss the wines and our notes from the En Primeur tastings in April 2011, so do not hesitate to give us a call at the office: 973-574-8701 or email me (matt@mwcwine.com) if you are hunting for specific wines or want to chat about the vintage. We will not offer every single wine that comes out, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that we do not have the ability to source it from our negociant partners. It is important to note that quantities for the top wines are going to be extremely limited. Our offers will be short and sweet and hopefully frequent, so please stay tuned. Please know that the Chateaux have cut their allocations to the negociants by up to 50% in certain instances, so less wine will be available in the opening tranche and don’t forget that "O-’10" is a smaller crop than ’09. You can read all about the vintage in our blog coming out next week, but we wanted to let you know that we are so excited to be offering another tremendous vintage En Primeur and look forward to stuffing your cellar with amazing wines.

Two for One Storage Deal on all 2010 Bordeaux Futures Purchased from MWC

 2010 Bordeaux Futures Deal

As you will read in our 2010 Vintage Report, this year’s wines are much more structured and with higher acidities, and they will most certainly require more time in the cellar than their ’09 counterparts before the wines soften enough to be drinkable and/or reach their full investment potential. With that being said, you are going to need to store them, and our state of the art facility is a perfect location for your wines! This year we will offer a tremendous opportunity for you to store your 2010 Bordeaux Futures purchased directly from MWC for basically half-off! When the wines arrive in 2013, you will have the option to sign a 1, 2 or 3 year contract to store your cherished cases with us at lots of different case increments. Discounts are obviously given based on size and term of contract. When you sign a 1 year deal, you will be given an additional year free. In other words, pay for 1 year, get 1 year free! Pay for 2 years, get 2 additional years free. Pay for 3 years, get 3 additional years free! That means you will save big time on your storage costs, enabling you to focus your dollars on the acquisition of the futures, improving your return should you decide to divest, and cutting down on the ultimate cost of your wine when you decide to finally pop the corks!
We have many years of experience moving wines around the world, relocating cellars and storing the world’s greatest wines. We are extremely passionate about our storage services and do everything we can to help you enjoy your collection. If you are interested to learn more about our storage services or would like a quote to store your collection, please email Don Echeverria (Director of Storage & Logistics Operations) at don@mwcwine.com.
We look forward to hearing from you on the 2010 Bordeaux Futures, and we sincerely hope you will take advantage of the tremendous storage deal we are offering with this campaign. Please know that you will not be required to sign a storage deal if you buy from us. It is strictly optional, and you will not be required to sign & pay for your storage contract until the wines arrive in 2013. If you have any questions, call or email.

Cheers!

  1. Appreciation for the pretty instructive posting, most of us could take advantage of much more blogs similar to this on the internet. Is it possible to elaborate a little more about the second paragraph please? I’m a small bit mixed up and undecided whether or not I realize your point entirely. Thank you so much.

  2. I fancy your blog, awesome post as always :) really inspiring! thank you.
