This release includes Aperture’s 2022 aromatic white wines as well as our final 2019 vintage release, including a very special bottling of the Nomad and our first release of the Aperture Estate Farrow Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon.We are pleased to also share the 2020 Del Rio Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.
These wines from 2019 mark the first vintage crafted at the new state-of-the-art winery, and this release is the final of four total releases from that exceptional year. With the new custom winery came the ability to craft the Aperture wines with a higher level of precision across all areas of winemaking.
We are now able to share with you some of the most unique and limited offerings from this benchmark collection.

- The Spring Release Wines -
A vibrant and bright wine coming from rare old vines planted in the 1940’s. These heritage grapes from the Clarksburg vineyard benefit from naturally warm days, and brisk, cool nights for the region. The resulting wine demonstrates racy acidity and a fruit forward palate that’s well-balanced with textural intrigue.

2022 Aperture Barrel-Fermented Sauvignon Blanc
The Aperture sauvignon blanc was originally inspired by winemaker Jesse Katz’s experience at Haut Brion in Bordeaux. Our unique barrel and cement aging program provides the wine with a distinct complexity and a subtle weight on the palate.
We have evolved to work with a combination of vineyard sites, and a blend of 16% sémillon for the 2022 vintage. We include sémillon and sauvignon musqué clone from the Aperture Estate property, sauvignon blanc from Dry Stack Vineyard in Bennett Valley, as well as sauvignon blanc from our estate property, Farrow Ranch in Alexander Valley.

2020 Aperture Del Rio Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine demonstrates an elegant power driven by its unique hillside location in the southeast corner of Alexander Valley. With chalky volcanic soils, and little organic material, the vines’ development is controlled and restrained and the established fruit is concentrated and complex.

2019 Aperture Nomad Sugarloaf Vineyard
If you aren’t yet familiar with Aperture’s Nomad, you will be soon. The Nomad is a very distinct bottling that our winemaking team only makes during exceptional vintages. This is only the third bottling of Nomad ever produced and we expect it, like previous vintages, to sell out extremely quickly.
For this rare wine, we blend a unique compilation of grapes coming from Napa Valley vineyards, primarily Sugarloaf Vineyard with 55% merlot.

2019 Aperture Estate Farrow Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon
This is the inaugural bottling of our estate Farrow Ranch cabernet sauvignon. Our team has a long history with this Alexander Valley vineyard. We first started working with the site 2010 with one single block of malbec for the now world renown Devil Proof label. Today, the exquisite 75 acres of Farrow Ranch are part of our estate-owned portfolio, with this robust cabernet sauvignon showcasing an incredible hillside block from the property.

RELEASE DETAILS
The wines will be available first-come-first-serve to our list members only during the release time period. After the release closes, any remaining wines will be available to the public.
Shipping: Release wines are scheduled to be delivered the week of April 3rd and release orders can be combined with other current Aperture wine offerings. If you would prefer to receive your wines at a different time, please contact us.
Pick Up: Wines will be available to pick up from the Aperture Estate property as early as Thursday, April 6th by appointment. Should you wish to pick up your wines, please select "I Prefer to Pick Up My Order" under Shipping Address on the Checkout Screen. Our team will reach out to you to schedule your pick up.
