Featuring the Single Vineyard Collection

This winter we are opening our cellar to our Aperture members exclusively, offering for the first time library vintages of some of our most limited production wines.
The 2017 Oliver Ranch, Del Rio Vineyard, and SJ Ranch are stunning examples of terroir-driven, 100% cabernets, focusing on three uniquely distinct Alexander Valley vineyards. These final wines from the vintage are available as single bottle offerings or in a custom three bottle set composed of one of each vineyard designate. Ground shipping is included on any three bottle orders from the library release or equivalent purchase value.
We are humbled and appreciative of the kind words and thoughtful reviews from the esteemed Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate, who awarded these wines the highest Sonoma County cabernet scores of the vintage. The next release of these wines will occur in March

2017 OLIVER RANCH CABERNET SAUVIGNON

“An incredibly alluring wine with a deep ruby-purple and pure aromas of saffron, cinnamon, warm chocolate, cast iron, sandalwood, and loads of floral aromas with a core of lush cassis. The palate is lushly fruited and surprisingly fresh, its fruits cut through with notions of graphite and iron. It has an ultra grainy, pixelated tannic frame and continues to open and evolve on the very long finish. This classically styled cabernet sauvignon spent 22 months in 70% new French oak.”

2017 DEL RIO VINEYARD CABERNET SAUVIGNON

“The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Del Rio Vineyard is stunning. Deep ruby-purple, it offers aromas of tapenade, dried herbs, graphite, mushroom powder, and loads of floral aromas over a core of cassis and blue fruits. The full-bodied palate is slow to unfurl, but when it does – wow! Layered and concentrated, it’s wrapped in a finely pixelated frame with a streak of minerality and great freshness to lift the very long finish.”

2017 SJ RANCH CABERNET SAUVIGNON

“The 2017 SJ Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is a riper style than some of the other cabernets in the Aperture line up this year. It has a vibrant ruby-purple color and aromas of dark plums, fruitcake, and backed berries accented by Chinese five-spice, chocolate, graphite, derived herbs, and floral nuances. The full-bodied palate is firmly framed and finely grainy, with good freshness and a very long finish."
