2017 Clarice Pinot Noirs
As many of you have undoubtedly read, I’ve created a unique new winery called Clarice Wine Company. At Clarice, I sell virtually all of my wine through a Subscription Model, where Members not only receive a case of wine, they also get the opportunity to interact with various luminaries in the wine business, be a part of an active wine community, attend wine events, and even receive special offers from other wineries. This model is so unique that it has received attention from many wine writers, including most recently a large article in the Sacramento Bee (see below). Subscriptions for the 2017 vintage have already sold out (and subscriptions for the 2018 vintage will be available starting in February of 2019).
Because I am only able to offer as many Subscriptions as I normally get out of my 4 acres of grapes, there will be vintages where there is a small amount of wine available to non-subscribers. This is the case with the 2017 vintage, and I do have a tiny amount of 2017 Clarice Pinot Noirs available to sell. Due to their minuscule production, I am only able to offer either a mixed-6-pack of wine (2 bottles each of the 3 Pinot Noirs) or a mixed-3-pack (1 bottle each of the 3 wines). Purchasers will be limited to buying one or the other of these packs. This offer will expire December 17, 2018. Shipping will occur within a week of your order, weather permitting.

This is Monk – the monkey that I was given when I was 7 days old and when Clarice Phears’ daughter and her husband (my Mom and Dad) adopted me. Neither Clarice nor my Dad lived longed enough to see me in the wine business, but my Mom is 96 years old and still lives in Austin, Texas, now in a nursing home. I recently visited my Mom and discovered that she had wrapped Monk around a bottle of Clarice Pinot Noir and place them alongside a picture of my children. I’m really thrilled that my Mom has lived long enough to see me name a wine after her Mother.
