Whitehall Lane Winery-Reserve-Cabernet Sauvignon-Napa Valley-California-2003-$75.00-A classic Cab nose of dark currants, dark amber in color.  A medium to full bodied Cab, currants, cherry,  blackberry, was very smooth, very enjoyable, time did the wine well.  My only complaint was that I did not read the bottle which stated that they made a special glass stopper (see picture) instead of a cork….busted my corkscrew…who would of guessed?                WS-86            WE-89            CR-4.5               Good with steak, chicken, ribs.

Allegrini-Palazzo Della Torre-Veronese-Italy-2006-$14.27-A nose of dark fruit and roasted meat, dark purple in color.   Currants, leather, roasted meat flavors, chocolate, a good food friendly full bodied red.  I have enjoyed this Italian red for the last three verticals and all have been consistent.           WS-90                     CR-4-4.5                Good with veal, chicken, pasta.
