Levendi Winery-Syrah-Stagecoach Vineyard-Napa Valley-California-2006-$24.50-A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark black in color.  A full bodied single vineyard Syrah, with currants, blueberries, plum and chocolate and spice on finish.  Don’t think I decanted for long enough, was good but was expecting more from this vineyard.   Nicely designed bottle.                  NR                CR-89                   Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Paul Dolan Vineyards-Cabernet Sauvignon-Mendocino County-California-2007-$17.98-A nose of dark plum and spice, dark garnet in color.  A medium to full bodied Cab, with currants, plum, herbs and brown spice, better than average.                    WE-92                   CR-88                     Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
