Peter Franus Wine Company-Zinfandel-Brandlin Vineyard-Mount Veeder-Napa Valley-California-2008-$32.99-A nose of intense currants and spice, dark garnet in color.   A full bodied and robust Zin, with blackberries, black currants, jammy with a spicy finish, layers of favor.   I am not sure what WS and WE were trying but this was a delicious Zin.             WS-82            WE-86            CR-92            Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

Columbia Crest-H3-Merlot-Columbia Crest-Horse Heaven Hills-Washington State-2009-$10.79-A nose of cherry and spice, dark garnet in color.   A medium to full bodied Merlot, with blackberry, cherry, dusty chocolate and spice on finish, a very good QPR.              WS-89             WE-86             CR-89                Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
