R Wines-Marquis Philips-9-Shiraz-McLaren Vale-Australia-2006-$29.99-A big nose of dark fruit and spice, black purple in color.  A full, full bodied Shiraz, smooth, delicious, blackberry, blueberry, some chocolate, bacon smoke, good stuff.  I have tried the last three vintages, one of my favorite wines.                 RP-92-95               WS-91                CR-93                    Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

Jip Jip Rocks-Shiraz-Limestone Coast-Australia-2007-$10.99-A nose of dark cherry and spice, dark amber in color.  A smooth easy drinking Shiraz, dark cherry, tea, spice, cassis.  A good value Shiraz.           RP-90            WS-88             CR-88                Good with steak, chicken, pasta.

Mollydooker Wines-Blue Eyed Boy-Shiraz-McLaren Vale-Australia-2006-$52.50-A nose of dark fruit and smoke, dark purple black in color.   A full bodied, smooth, not over done Shiraz even with 16% alcohol.   Blackberry, blueberry, licorice with smoke and spice, with a good balanced finish.            RP-96                WS-92                 CR-92                    Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

R Wines-First Class-Shiraz-Australia-2005-$24.99-A nose of dark fruit and smoke, dark purple in color.  A full bodied not over the top Shiraz, black cherry, blueberry,  some toast and smoke, good but not great.               RP-94             CR-90               Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

Pure Love Wines-Layer Cake-Shiraz-Australia-2009-$10.99-A nose of dark fruit and chocolate, black purple in color.  A full bodied easy drinking red, blackberry, currants, plum, spice and cocoa, a very good value.                   WS-89                CR-90                 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Glaetzer Wines-Wallace-Shiraz-Grenache-Barossa Valley-Australia-2006-$15.99-A nose of dark fruit and some spice, dark purple in color.  A full bodied red, some spice, blackberries, cherries, pepper, let it open and it gets smoother.            RP-91-94             WS-88            WE-90                CR-88            Good with steak, ribs, chicken.

Ross Estate-Lights Out-Shiraz-Barossa Valley-Australia-2007-$10.68-A nose of bright fruit, dark purple in color.  A full bodied Shiraz, fruit pie, blackberry, blueberry, plum with pepper, not for Old World fans, but for this price a fun midweek wine.                    RP-90                WE-87                  CR-88                   Good with ribs, chicken, pasta. 

Barossa Valley Estate Limited-E & E-Black Pepper-Shiraz-Barossa Valley-Australia-1998-$80.00-A elegant nose of dark fruit and spice, very dark purple in color.  Had dinner with good friends who brought this beauty, smooth mix of blackberry, blueberry, plum, cedar and even after being 12 years old had a 30 second finish. It’s always intriguing when you get to open and enjoy a older classic, highly rated wine that due to proper cellaring delivers a memorable experience.                 WS-95  (WS- Highly Recommended)           CR-95          Great with pasta, veal, chicken. 

Mollydooker Wines-The Boxer-Shiraz-Australia-2008-$24.99-A nose of bold fruit and spice with noticeable alcohol,  dark black purple in color.  A bold full bodied over the top Shiraz, I really like this wine when it’s a few years old, when it’s young the alcohol overwhelms the fruit, plum, blueberry, bacon.  I have tried The Boxer in 2005, 06, 07 and now 08, wait a couple years and this will calm down.           RP-91              WS-91               CR-88                Good with steak, chicken, pasta.

John Duval Wines-Entity-Shiraz-Barossa Valley-Australia-2004-$35.00-A nose of dark fruit and toast, dark opaque purple in color.  This wine has gotten better with age, blackberry, plum, cassis, pepper, elegant for a big Shiraz.  A special bottle of wine that would still be good years from now.        RP-95            WS-92             WE-92            CR-92            Good with veal, chicken and pork.
