Elyse Wines-Petite Sirah-Napa Valley-Rutherford-California-2006-$27.98-A nose of dark fruit, black purple in color.  A full bodied wine, smooth and delicious.   Blackberry, black cherry, cola, spice and chocolate with a long finish, a big wine.                 WS-86               WE-87               CR-90                   Good with steak, chicken, pasta.

Carver Sutro-Palisades Vineyard-Petit Sirah-Napa Valley-California-2005-$35.98-A nose of dark fruit, dark purple in color.  Blueberries, blackberries,  some earth, full bodied, was good not great.              RP-90               CR-87                 Good with ribs, meats, pasta.

Michael & David Philips-Petite Petit-Petite Sirah-Petit Verdot-Lodi-California-2007-$13.99-A nose of meaty dark fruit, dark purple in color.  A full bodied wine, blackberry, cherry, chocolate and earth.   This wine delivers for it’s price, and has a great fun label.               RP-88              WS-86             WE-84             CR-88             Good with burgers, chicken, pasta.

Keesha Vineyards-Petite Sirah-Lodi-California-2008-$9.99-A big nose of dark fruit and casis, purple black in color.  A big full bodied, like syrup, blackberry, smooth, cassis, dark chocolate, a wine that has the body and taste of a $40 bottle.            NR               CR-91              Good with steak, chicken, pasta.

Seghesio Family Vineyards-Home Ranch-Petite Sirah-Alexander Valley-California-2005-$31.99-A nose of brooding dark fruit, pitch black in color.   A full bodied, big wine, wild cherries, black cherry, spice with a long finish, a very good wine.               NR                CR-92                 Good with steak, chicken, pasta.

Big House Wine Co.-The Prodigal Son-Petite Sirah-Central Coast-California-2006-$13.99-A big nose of dark fruit and spice, black in color.  Blackberry, plums, full bodied, big wine, not elegant but a decent bottle for a BBQ, fun label.               WS-79               WE-85               CR-86             Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

Titus Vineyards-Petite Sirah-Napa Valley-California-2007-$29.99-A nose of ripe dark fruit and spice, dark amber in color.  A smooth, more elegant Petite Sirah, not the over the top type.  Blackberry, blueberry, currants, vanilla and spice, a solid wine.    I visited Titus earlier year, they are many some very good wines.                 RP-90               WS-89              CR-90             Good with steak, chicken, pasta.

Three Wine Company-Petite Sirah-Contra Costa County-California-2008-$19.00-A nose of dark fruit and spice, black purple in color.  A full bodied big red, smooth,  blackberry, blueberry, spice, a good mouth feel, long finish.   Second time tried in last couple months, similar results.                 NR                 CR-90                 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
