In just a few weeks, we would love you to join us as we celebrate the 30th annual Brown Brothers Spring Wine & Food Festival at our family winery in Victoria’s Milawa. Get set for an exciting weekend of great wines, fine food, masterclasses and more from November 18 to 20.
As part of the King Valley’s La Dolce Vita weekend, you will need a festival glass for the festivities. You can pre-order online at Wines of the King Valley or purchase your glass at the gate.
We look forward to seeing you there.
The Brown Brothers Team
DINNER WITH INDIGENOUS CHEF CLAYTON DONOVAN
Opening the festival is a collaborative, wine-matched feast from Brown Brothers’ chef Douglas Elder (who collected our inaugural Chef’s Hat for Patricia’s Table Restaurant this year) and celebrated Indigenous chef Clayton Donovan. After meeting with local producers and menu planning together, the duo will be serving up a not-to-be-missed dinner on Friday, November 18.
DINE WITH A WINEMAKER
Get to know our wine and the people behind them at one of our three-course, wine-matched lunches on the weekend.
Hosted by Brown Brothers’ chief winemaker Joel Tilbrook and fourth-generation winemaker Katherine Brown, the hosts will each show you some special wines from the family cellar and take you behind the scenes to some of their favourite places in the winery.
YES WAY ROSÉ
If you enjoy rosé, you will love our dedicated rosé bar at the festival where we will be pouring the new Brown Brothers 18 Eighty Nine Dry Rosé alongside perfectly matched bites – the best way to ring in the warmer months. We will also be offering a shiraz masterclass, an oyster bar, activities for the kids and more.
Can’t make the festival but want to try the rosé? Get your hands on a few bottles for the wine fridge here.
GET TO KNOW THE REGION
Our Spring Wine & Food Festival is part of the King Valley’s wider La Dolce Vita, where the purchase of one festival glass allows you to sample wine from the 11 participating wineries.
Just a three-hour drive from Melbourne, the region offers stunning bike paths, gourmet cheese, local Milawa mustard and more, plus famed King Valley prosecco and other cool-climate wines.
See here for directions.
WHERE TO STAY
Need a place to stay? Our friends at Beautiful Accommodation can help. Marlo Cottage, Casa Luna Gourmet and Mt Bellevue are top picks in the region, each within a short drive of Milawa. Explore all of the High Country options here.
