As someone with an appreciation for our Fulcrum and On Point wines, we are offering these Pinot Noirs to you well in advance of our regular release. These young wines have yet to be reviewed, and in some cases are many months away from their ideal drinking window. As our way of rewarding your faith in our wines, and your patience in cellaring them, you enjoy special prerelease pricing. It’s that simple. Weather permitting, we’ll ship your wines as soon as you place your order. After May 27th , if any wines remain, they will be sold at full price, and no further orders will be shipped until late fall.

Our 2014 Pinot Noirs

2014 Fulcrum Gap’s Crown Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir – 237 cases made

This explosive wine benefitted from low yields in 2014. With smaller berries and clusters this wine gained an intensity which is the hallmark of Gap’s Crown. Deep color and even deeper flavors of berries, anise and sage. We have developed quite a following for our Gap’s Crown Pinot since we released the 2007 inaugural vintage. This is a great vintage to get behind because of the balance of fruit and acidity which will surely allow this wine to age gracefully. Gap’s lovers rejoice!

2014 Fulcrum Brosseau Vineyard Chalone AVA Pinot Noir – 143 cases made

The 2014 Brosseau is as distinctive a Pinot Noir as you will find.  The chalky limestone soils of Chalone give this wine an unmistakable mineral-driven character layered over deep flavors of blackberry, violet and spice. This wine has Brosseau’s trademark firm tannins which experience has shown us resolve over time and create an age-worthy silky Pinot. You can experience this as you open the bottle and see it soften and round as the bottle level goes lower and lower. As this vineyard ages there is less and less fruit off of the organically raised vines.  Get it while you can.

2014 Fulcrum Landy Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir – 91 cases made

In our second vintage with Landy we have created a fuller richer version than the 2013 while maintaining the silky texture everone loved last year. Grown in the cool, fog-shrouded lower portion of the property, the Calera clone was used to create a truely elegant wine with abundant layers of dark cherry, cola, and spice. We receive only a small amount of this prized fruit and we blended our best barrels into this 91 case offering. The Russian River Valley is known worldwide as America’s preeminent Pinot growing areas. Get a few bottles and see why.

2014 On Point Christinna’s Cuvee Pinot Noir – 217 cases made

In 2014 we blended barrels from Gap’s Crown, Landy, and Donnelly Creek vineyards to create this special wine.  We love to show off our single-vineyard wines, but with the Christinna’s Cuvee we create a blend of our Sonoma Coast, Russian River and Anderson Valley wines to produce a beautifully textured wine, with gorgeous layers of ripe black cherry, cola, and dried herbs and spice on the palate. Do not let the price fool you.  This is a blend of our finest vineyards with an eye towards early drinking and pleasure.
