Introducing the 2020 John Anthony Carneros Gap Syrah
This ultra-limited release of Syrah is the first from a micro estate adjacent to the home of Vintner John Anthony Truchard. John has long wanted to produce a Syrah from this site, and this powerful and elegant expression was certainly worth the wait.
This vineyard is prized for its unique position in the Los Carneros AVA. It sits atop a distinct gap in the coastal hills, directly in the path of marine breezes from San Pablo Bay—an ideal terroir for producing world-class Syrah with sumptuous cool-climate character. Selected from five acres planted in 1996 to the Noir and Estrella clones, the inaugural John Anthony Carneros Gap Syrah is a knockout that is not to be missed.
Only 200 cases produced. Highly allocated.
