CELEBRATE TO THE MAGNUM

The wine evolves more slowly and with greater final complexity.

Opening a Magnum is decidedly to celebrate, it is the best expression of wine and deserves a special occasion. Because you need to live a Magnum moment that is not just any moment.

The art of each label is by Lourdes Achaval Palacio and each one has a connotation of each wine.

 Matervini Update

Matervini Finca “La Libertad”: It originates from an old Malbec vineyard planted in 1938 that was worked with horses until 2002. It is born at 980 meters above sea level in a classic alluvial soil, sandy loam with layers of clay, with deep pebbles formed by the millenary activity of the Mendoza River. Flavors of attractive austerity, strong minerality and very long finish, our most traditional malbec from Lujan De Cuyo,

Matervini Tinto “Inspira”: Young wine from a young viticultural area, Chacayes, located at 1,100 meters above sea level, with alluvial soil, sandy loam and deep gravel. It is a Malbec blend with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, co-fermented. It has a structured and fresh character at the same time.

Matervini Canota “Evolution”: It is the beginning of experimentation with older, original, non-alluvial geologies. It is born in clay loam soil, very structured and with very good permeability. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 1,000 to 1,200 meters above sea level. It is one hundred percent Malbec with an accent on fruit and exotic notes, very different from what is found in traditional areas of Mendoza. It is irrigated with spring water.

Matervini “Pristina” Alteza: Shares the Precordillera and the Calchaquíes Valleys with Rupestre. There, in Yacochuya, at 1,948 meters above sea level,  cultivation by  terrace plantation made by the original people from the region, , this wine is born, which is irrigated by a meltwater stream. The character of this Malbec lies in its minerality and structure, where the fruit is not the center but an adornment, where the appeal is the personality and the conviction of the terroir.
