Matter of Taste Hong Kong 2018
Quintessential Coche-Dury Divulgence
29 & 30 Jan 2018, 19:00
8½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana, Hong Kong
HKD10,000 per seat
Domaine Coche-Dury: the very name sends shivers down the spines of Burgundy fanatics, amongst whom it can only be whispered, lest someone new discovers the wines and there will, inevitably, be even less of these precious drops to go around the wine world. Produced in minuscule quantities, for anyone who has had the very good fortune to sample one of Jean-François Coche’s works of Chardonnay and terroir art, this is as good as wine gets.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate is excited to host this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sample six vintages of Coche-Dury wines, spanning sixteen years and including an extraordinary example of the very rare Corton-Charlemage Grand Cru. The dinner will be hosted by Wine Advocate Editor-in-Chief, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, who will lead a provocative discussion about the wines in the context of great white Burgundy. The incredible line-up of wines will be skillfully paired with the culinary mastery of Chef Umberto Bombana of three Michelin star restaurant 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana.
Spaces are very limited for this dinner and interested guests are urged to book their seats early to avoid disappointment.
