Each year, we are extremely privileged to kick off our annual tasting series with Peter Stolpman , proprietor of Stolpman Vineyards of Santa Barbara County, California. Established over twenty-five years ago by Pete’s father, Tom, Stolpman Vineyards is nestled in the hills of California’s Central Coast and is considered the founding vineyard of the Ballard Canyon AVA , which was published in 2013. Since the AVA’s inception, Pete has served as President of the Ballard Canyon Wine Growers Alliance.
Already one of our more highly-anticipated events of the year, Pete’s visit last winter — held for the first time on a Saturday afternoon — was more popular than ever. So why mess with a good thing? Be sure to mark Saturday, March 30th down on your calendars and be sure to tell your friends. We will be tasting some of the new vintages of our old favorites from Stolpman Vineyards’ stellar line-up. Pete’s breadth of knowledge, enthusiasm and laid-back personality make him one of our favorite guests here at the Corkscrew. Don’t miss out on what is certain to be a fantastic tasting event!
