St. Helena Wine Merchants- www.sthelenawinemerchants.com,  located on Hwy. 29 in St. Helena right in the heart of Napa Valley.  If you are buying wine at wineries during your visit to Napa then this is the store to ship it from, I had them ship back four cases at a great rate and they got back on time and in perfect condition.  The treat was after entering the store was the awesome selection of wine from big producers and boutique wineries.  They do weekly wine tastings and special events, offer wine clubs as well, and have a very good internet site.  The owner is Jeff Yates who has been in the wine business for almost thirty years and is very wine knowledgeable.   Eric Carpenter is the Fine Wine Specialist and has been in the wine business for some fifteen years.  If you plan on being in Napa, add this stop to the list of wineries you plan to visit, it will  really be worth the trip.

Old and Rare Wine

The St. Helena Wine Merchants sells a tremendous amount of properly stored wines from customers. Only after carefully scrutinizing the storage conditions and physically examining the bottles do we put these wines up for sale. Because these older (often irreplaceable) wines are sold on an "as is" basis, we place our reputation on each old and rare bottle in our inventory. Please understand that our library wines often present qualities that are vastly different from their current release counterpoints- elegance, subtlety, complexity- the hallmarks of a mature wine.
