The Washington D.C. Wine and Food Festival is a very well run event, I highly recommend attending, it has great selection of wineries and The Ronald Reagan Center is a good venue for the festival.

Winemaker Dinners at Local Restaurants

While you’re in town, you’ll want to enhance your Festival experience with Winemaker Dinners, featuring specialty wine-related menus at area restaurants offered only during this special four-day celebration.

Co-Hosted by two of DC’s favorite chefs Todd Gray (Equinox) & Peter Smith (PS7s). This Festival opener is a party you don’t want to miss. Enjoy the chance to sample savory bites these talented chefs have created especially for this celebration. Sip tasty Festival wines perfectly paired with the cuisine in an intimate and elegant setting. Both chefs will be on hand share their expertise on food and wine pairings.

Valentine love letters will be the theme at the historic all-marble building that is a Registered National Landmark and "once was" Post office of yesterday. Come be a spirited sentimentalist as you enjoy cocktails inspired by "love letters". This special occasion offers you a chance to indulge your appreciation for something different – The cocktail! Spirited creations from aficionados such as: Gina Chersavani (PS7s), Simo Ahmadi (Equinox), Dennis Burns (Aria), and Rico Wisner (Poste) will be on hand to enjoy. Light hors d’ oeuvres will be served in the private atrium room of the Monoco Hotel.  Price of admission includes four cocktail tokens.

Whether you’re a connoisseur or new to wine, the Festival’s main event will dazzle your senses with 100 international wineries pouring more than 500 wines for you to sample in the elegant surroundings of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.  
During the afternoon, you can taste your way through the wine regions of Argentina, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, New Zealand, Spain and the U.S., grouped together on the show floor, were you’ll find your old favorites and add new flavors to your repertoire.

With an upgraded ticket purchase you can choose from complimentary food samples from food providers and treat yourself to global cuisine, prepared in the International Food Pavilion. You’ll enjoy all this, plus opportunities to meet top winemakers who can advise you on selecting and serving wine; and discover the latest wine-related lifestyle products from a broad array of exhibitors. 
DC Central Kitchen Brunch

Enjoy brunch at one of DC’s new favorite hot spots – Ris. Newly opened in the West End, Chef Ris LACOSTE is one of DC’s the most respected and dedicated chefs. Ris will afford us the opportunity to sample her brunch fare paired with delicate bubbles. This a festive occasion doubles as a friend-raiser for DC Central Kitchen – the local favorite charity among DC’s culinarians. DC Central Kitchen’s core mission is fighting poverty through job training, meal distribution and supporting local food systems. Proceeds from this event will go directly to "The Kitchen".

You’ll want to secure your seat early to watch premier chefs in action as they demonstrate their expertise in the field, matching wine and spirits to delicious cuisine. Chefs Jose Andres (ThinkFoodGroup), Barton Seaver (Alaska Seafood Institute), Claudio Pirollo (Et Voila!), and Patrice Olivon (L’Academie Cuisine) are just a few of the demonstrations coming to share their talents. The perfect finale to your afternoon, or a great beginning to your special Valentines evening! A special showing of the film, Bottle Shock, will amuse you with its story about how Napa Valley’s Montelena Winery challenged France’s position as the world’s top wine producer  in 1976, putting California wines on the map.  But of course before the lights go down, you can enhance your appetite for the movie with festival wines and artisan popcorn. Restaurants Rasika, Ceiba and PS7’s will serve up their celebrated and inspired popcorn for movie time munching
