Happy Spring! Though we are still hoping for more rain around here, we welcome the warmth and renewal that comes with the new season.
Here at the winery, we are getting used to the new normal and grateful for progress made. Post-fire tree work continues, and the views are expansive and breath taking as dead and burned trees are cleared and removed. The new barrel barn is nearly complete, and we hope to move in to it later this month. Our grandson, Ethan, is back at the winery full-time, working hard and keeping things together. We admire his boundless energy and work ethic.  
Robin, Les and Lisa have just returned from a marvelous French river cruise up the Seine from Paris to Normandy. Behrens Family was the winery host for the cruise, and we saw incredible sights and enjoyed delicious food and wine, but the best part was spending time getting to better know some great customers who certainly now are friends. What a great opportunity it was to spend time with some really special people.  
Speaking of special people, we are happy to welcome Maria Rohe to the Behrens Family Winery clan! Maria is a 20 year veteran of our wine industry, a warm and intelligent host and a great addition to our hospitality team. Her presence will offer Robin more flexibility with welcoming guests, conducting tastings and showcasing our wines.  
For this Spring 2022 release, we have a great selection of wines to offer. Everyone’s favorite non-vintage Road Les Traveled is in the line-up, as is 2017 The Passenger, our exciting Petite Sirah blend. From the stunning 2018 vintage we have the powerful and gorgeous Labor of Love. Having lost nearly all of the 2019 and 2020 vintages in the Glass Fire, we are not releasing as many 2018s at this time, allowing us the opportunity to spread them out over the next couple of years, so we have reached back into the library to offer two selections that are drinking beautifully now. They are the 2013 Sean’s Cuvee, and the 2014 Beckstrom Cabernet Sauvignon. Please note, these library wines are very limited.

Shipping will begin the week of April 19th, weather permitting. If you are back in the office, still working from home or somewhere in between, please keep in mind that an adult signature is required for delivery and choose your shipping address wisely. Tracking information will be emailed to you when your order leaves the warehouse. Please reach out to Robin with any questions or requests.
We are confident you will find some wines to your liking in this release, and we certainly hope that you will come and visit us the next time you are in Napa.
