WINE SPECTATOR GIVES THE $29 DIAL TONE PINOT NOIR 91 POINTS!
Receive a Discount on This Wine By Ordering Below

Just a few minutes ago, Wine Spectator reviewed the 2021 Dial Tone Pinot Noir and gave it 91 Points! Here’s what they had to say:

Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County Dial Tone 2021

Score: 91 | $29

WS review: A juicy, plump style, laden with dark cherry and mulled blackberry notes and infused with dark tea and singed anise. The toasty finish seems aimed at the hedonist crowd. Drink now through 2026. 1,029 cases made.—James Molesworth

This is tied for the Wine Spectator’s highest rated under $30 Pinot Noir from the 2021 vintage!

This review follows up the following ratings from Wine Enthusiast Magazine!
93 POINTS EDITORS’ CHOICE – 2021 Busy Signal Pinot Noir
91 POINTS – 2021 Dial Tone Pinot Noir

As a reminder, the 2021 Busy Signal Pinot Noir comes entirely from the Sta. Rita Hills. It shows the darker fruit flavors, concentration, and even a bit of the tannins that are found in the best wines from this area.
The 2021 Dial Tone Pinot Noir is a blend of Sta. Rita Hills fruit and Santa Maria Valley grapes. As such, it is a tad more red fruited, with a more medium weight mid-palate, and with a long, accessible finish. While the Busy Signal Pinot Noir might benefit from some age, this wine is designed to provide superb drinking over the next few years.
BUSY SIGNAL is regularly $39.50 per bottle
DIAL TONE is regularly $29.50 per bottle

ADAM’S NEWEST PINOT NOIR VENTURE –

TO NO ONE’S SURPRISE IT’S FROM THE SANTA LUCIA HIGHLANDS – BUT WHO IT IS MIGHT SHOCK YOU

As you all know, I love Pinot Noir. This coming vintage will be my 30th year making Pinot and I cherish every vintage (even 2011 – ugh, that was hard). And you all know I love the Santa Lucia Highlands, having worked with those vineyards since 1997.
My goal has always been to introduce great Pinot Noir to as many people as possible and that is why, in early 2020, I approached Rombauer about making Pinot Noir. Shockingly, Rombauer, despite their ubiquitous Chardonnay presence, had never produced a Pinot Noir before. At our meeting the President first said, "no, we don’t think it makes sense" and then – from the time it took to drive from St. Helena to Calistoga they called me back and asked, "We’re going to Bottle Barn to buy some Pinot Noir. Where do you recommend?" Thus it began…

The story has just been detailed in Wine Spectator Magazine and you can read about it here:
https://www.winespectator.com/articles/rombauer-makes-a-pinot

Mitch Frank did a great job detailing the story and one of the pictures there was taken by my daughter, Amber (her first commercially published photograph!). There’s one thing I do want to emphasize about this wine and that’s where it comes from. The grapes grown for this Pinot Noir come from the Garys’, Rosella’s, Soberanes, Sierra Mar, and Lemoravo Vineyards – the premier sites in the Santa Lucia Highlands. You all know the meticulous farming and the quality of their fruit…my job was simply not to muck it up in the winemaking. I hope you’ll discover that I did okay.

Clarice Mailing List Members can get an early sneak peek at this wine and an opportunity to purchase it here. And thus far it has only been announced to Rombauer Club Members!

I’d love your feedback on it once you get some of it in your hands.
