Riesling Riot
Let’s Drink Some Riesling!
We’re throwing Riesling Riot, an all Riesling event with up to 100 different Riesling wines from around the world. This spring we’re hitting Boston, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles with an explosion of Riesling!
If you love Riesling, you gotta be there. If you don’t, now is your chance to discover the most versatile, yet misunderstood grape on the planet.
Tickets are currently discounted $5 until two weeks before each event. We’ll give you another $5 off with promo code DrinkRiesling but only until this Sunday, May 18 at midnight. Get on board with the Riesling revolution!

Join the Riesling Revolution
We’ve been hard at work putting together the most epic Riesling event possible. We have producers from around the world, special Crash Course seminars, and Riesling Floats. That’s right, ice cream and Riesling, together at last. Check it out:
Taste Rieslings from Around the World
Discover the world of Riesling! Riesling grapes (one of the most planted wine grapes in the world) are grown in every major winemaking country. The wines are super diverse ranging from bone dry to dessert wine sweet. Unlike any other grape, Riesling really shows a full range of styles and flavors depending on where they are planted. We’ll have all kinds of different wines from around the world.
We Have a Riesling You Will Like
If you don’t think you like Riesling, you probably just haven’t had the right one. Seriously! There are so many different kinds of Riesling! We’ve been teaching small Riesling courses for seven years and we often encounter skeptics; every single time they leave with a Riesling they really, really like. Obviously if you love Riesling, you have to be there. It’s going to be awesome!
Check Out These Awesome Wineries
If this were the Coachella of Riesling (which it kinda is), Chateau Ste Michelle from Washington is headlining! Dr Loosen Estates, Wines of Germany, and the International Riesling Foundation are also on the main stage. Don’t miss Rudi Wiest Selections, Cameron Hughes, Oregon Riesling Alliance, Brooks Winery, Vela Wines, Blufeld, and Schloss Johannisberg. From Australia hit up Jim Barry Wines, Pikes Winery, Yalumba, and Frankland Estate. Special appearances in select cities from Westport Rivers Winery, Brooklyn Winery, and Wines of Finger Lakes. Oh, there will also be more!
Riesling Ice Cream Floats and Other Tasty Bites
We just ordered a soft serve machine to make… get ready for it… Riesling Floats! Trust us, it’s the best thing in the history of the world. We’re also working with great food trucks to bring a wide range of foods (like delicious oysters!) to pair with such a versatile wine.
Why Riesling Riot?
Second Glass Founder, Tyler Balliet, spoke at Riesling Rendezvous, a trade event for Riesling producers last summer. Attending the event, we were really moved by the passion and dedication of people around the world to dedicate their lives to making a single grape. Riesling is misunderstood (or just plain not understood) and we wanted to introduce these producers to the Wine Riot audience. Hence, a new event is born!
