We are preparing to bottle an exclusive new Fantesca Red Wine made by our world famous winemaker, Heidi Barrett. We would like to offer you one of the first bottles made of this exciting project.
We are pre-selling 12 six-liter bottles and 20 three-liter bottles of the inaugural (2009) vintage Fantesca’s “All Great Things”. The name comes from a quote by Sir Winston Churchill:
“All great things are simple and can often be expressed in a single word. Freedom, Justice, Honor, Duty, Mercy, Hope.”
Each bottle will be laser etched, hand painted, numbered and then signed by Heidi Barrett, Susan and Duane Hoff.
We take inspiration from Churchill’s words that “All Great Things are Simple”; allow a world-class winemaker like Heidi Barrett to select any varietal, from any vineyard she chooses in the Napa Valley, and create a wine that is a unique expression of her style. This perfectly compliments our Estate Cabernet, which is an expression of place.
This inaugural vintage is dedicated to Churchill’s foremost value, Freedom. The artwork that graces the back label celebrates Freedom.
We selected this image as it reminded us of a beautiful summer day, somewhere in the Midwest, where windblown meadows shimmered in the sun, and as in our youth, we worried about precious little, celebrating the fresh air and beauty around us, ala the famous lyrics “Amber Waves of Grain”.
We have chosen six “Fortune Corkies” exclusively for this vintage that celebrate Freedom. Each year we will select new artwork and quotes celebrating a new virtue. Future verticals will illustrate quite a story and be truly spectacular to the eye!
As we have done in the past, we are able to place an appropriate personal message of your choice on the bottle. This can be a meaningful way of celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or homecoming.
The 2009 Fantesca All Great Things will not be available for purchase again until October 2012; we will be releasing this bottle to you in late November 2011, in time to make a memorable holiday gift!
