Altolandon-Red Blend-Manchuela-Spain-2005-$29.99-A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark amber in color.   Black currants, blueberries, cola, chocolate, a full bodied smooth very long finish.   A great bottle of wine, wish I had more, decant for a couple hours.                            WE-88                       CR-92                      Good with steak, chicken, pasta.

D-Cubed Cellars-Zinfandel-Napa Valley-California-2007-$19.59-A nose of dark cherry and spice, dark purple in color.  A full bodied Zin, not as good as the 2006, with raspberry, cherry, licorice and spice, not that smooth.                   WS-90                CR-86                    Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Bodegas Lan-Reserva-Tempranillo-Mazuelo-Rioja-Spain-2005-$12.99-A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark purple in color.  A medium to full bodied red blend, with blackberry, cherry, coffee and spice box, a good QPR.                       RP-90                     WS-85                  CR-87                 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Vinedos de Paganos-El Puntido-Red Table Wine-Rioja-Spain-2003-$37.99-A nose of dark fruit and smoke, dark purple in color. A smooth, full bodied red, with plum, black cherry, spice with a long finish, not as great as last bottle tried but still very good.                RP-94              CR-91                Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

Domaine De La Solitude-Cotes Du Rhone-Red Table Wine-France-2009-$13.98-A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color.  A smooth, medium to full bodied Cotes Du Rhone, with dark cherry, licorice, spicy finish, an elegant easy drinking and great QPR wine.                   WS-88                 CR-90                   Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Bodegas Emilio Moro-Ribera Del Duero-Red Table Wine-Spain-2006-$19.99-A nose of dark fruit and smoke, dark black in color. A full bodied, smooch, with black cherry, blackberry, with a vanilla and spice finish, a good QPR, was better the last couple time i tried.                  RP-92             WS-91              WE-87               CR-89                Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

Hedges Family Estate-Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon-Syrah-Cabernet Franc-Red Mountain-Washington State-2007-$19.27- A nose of ripe cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A full bodied blend, with black cherry, cassis, licorice with a chunky spice finish, good not great.               WE-90                 CR-88                    Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Red Car Wine Company-Speakeasy-Syrah-California-2006-$25.00-A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark purple in color. A smooth, full bodied red, blackberry, black cherry, Asian spice with a good finish, an enjoyable wine, second time tried in last couple months.                   WS-88                CR-89                 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Linne Calodo Cellars-Nemesis-Syrah-Mourvedre-Grenache-Paso Robles-California-2006-$68.00-A nose of dark fruit and cassis, dark blackish purple in color.   A Rhone like, full bodied blend, with blackberry, blueberry, chocolate with mineral and flower notes, a hedonistic wine, decant for a couple hours.  Linne Calodo makes some of the most interesting and delicious Rhone blends in the U.S.                 RP-94                  CR-93                   Good with steak, ribs, chicken.

Bodegas Ateca S.L.-Garnacha de Fuego-Garnacha-Old Vines-Calatayud-Spain-2009-$6.99-A nose of sweet dark fruit and spice, dark purple in color.  A full bodied, a bit chunky with plum, cherries, jammy, don’t expect elegance but for this price it’s drinkable, the 2008 was better.              RP-87                WS-79                 WE-84                  CR-84       Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Bodegas Fernando Remirez de Ganuza, S.A.-Fincas de Ganuza-Reserva-Rioja-Spain-2003-$25.55-A nose of sweet dark fruit, dark purple in color.  A full bodied Tempranillo blend, dry and still tannic even with a two hour decant, smoothed out after three hours .  Blackberry, plum, meat and smoke, very concentrated but delicious wine.                   RP-91                 WS-91                 WE-90               CR-91                Good  with meats, chicken, pasta. 

Hunt Family Cellars-Bon Vivant-Cabernet Sauvignon-Destiny Vineyards-Derek Heights Section-Paso Robles-California-2003-$19.99-A nose of dark cherry and spice, dark amber in color.  A smooth, dry, full bodied Cab, with black cherry, cassis,  dark chocolate and spiced oak finish, very good, 2nd time tried in last couple months.                     WE-90                CR-90                  Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

L’Ecole No 41-Cabernet Sauvignon-Walla Walla Valley-Washington State-2007-$22.50-A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark amber in color.  A smooth, medium to full bodied Cab, with blackberry, black cherry, herbs and licorice, drinking really well now, an elegant wine,  would of rated higher if it had more tannins to show aging potential.                    RP-91               WS-92                CR-90                Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Bodegas Alto Almanzora, S.L.-Este-Monastrell-Tempranillo-Syrah-Garnacha-Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot-Spain-2008-$8.98-A nose of roasted dark fruit, dark purple in color.   A full bodied, kitchen sink red blend.  With black cherry, blueberry, with earth and spice, a bit gritty, but good juice for price.                     RP-89                   CR-87                  Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Domaine Des Relagnes-Les Petits Pieds d’Armand-Chateauneuf Du Pape-France-2003-$28.88-A nose of cherry and spice, dark amber in color.  A smooth, elegant CDP, full bodied with raspberry, cherry, plums and currants.  Has a licorice and pepper finish, a very good wine, decant for at least one hour.                   RP-91+               WS-89                 WE-94                 CR-91              Good with meats, chicken, cheeses.

Bodegas Luna Beberide, S.L.-Fina La Cuesta-Bierzo-Spain-2008-$14.92-A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark black in color.   A full bodied dry red, with cherry, plum, cola and spice, was decent but a bit sour and chunky.                       RP-91                  WS-88                  WE-88                 CR-87                       Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.
