A smooth medium to full bodied red, blue and black berries, spices and nice balance, drinks like a $30 wine.           RP-91            CR-4-4.5            Good with chicken, meats, pasta.

Viti Santa Maria-Brazilo-Syrah-Cabernet Sauvignon-Brazil-2006-$6.99-A nose of sweet dark fruit, dark ruby in color.  I had tried some Brazilian wines recently at a wine tasting event and was surprised at how good they were…this was not one of them, a bit disjointed, initial taste is ok but then leaves a funky aftertaste.           NR            CR-2.5           Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Vinicola Miolo Ltda-Miolo Family Vineyards-Pinot Noir-Brazil-2008-$10.99-A light nose of earth and cherry, medium amber in color for a Pinot.   A light to medium bodied Pinot, smooth, licorice, a little spice. For a $11 it is a good mid week wine that is very drinkable, surprised me since I had never tried a wine from Brazil, and most Pinot Noir at this price level are terrible.                      NR          CR-3.5-4    Good with seafood, salads, cheese.

Tenuta Poggio al Tesoro-Mediterra-Toscana-Italy-2006-$17.98-A elegant nose of berry and chocolate, dark amber in color.  A smooth easy drinking red, dark fruit, earth, a juicy wine that was flat out enjoyable.              WS-92            RP-90             CR-4.5           Good with veal, chicken, pasta.
