A smooth, dry, full bodied Cab, with sweet cherries, cassis, dark chocolate and spiced oak finish, good but too much cherry for me. WE-90 CR-89 Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

Blackberry, cassis, currants and spice, layers of flavors, full bodied, very good, sadly my last bottle. RP-91 WE-92 CR-91 Good with steak, chicken, pasta.

Columbia-Crest Winery-Grand Estates-Amitage-Merlot-Syrah-Cabernet Franc-Cabernet Sauvignon-Malbec-Columbia Valley-Washington State-2008-$9.99-A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark purple amber in color. A rich, complex and smooth kitchen sink blend, with currants, plums, vanilla and spice, oak well integrated, great midweek wine, a fantastic QPR, consistent with prior time. WS-89 CR-89 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Showket Vineyards-Cabernet Sauvignon-Oakville-Napa Valley-California-2003-$36.67-A nose of sweet cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A smooth, medium to full bodied Cab, hard to describe, not a typical Cab, with black cherry, sweet raisins, herbs and veggies, just different. Let it decant a couple hours, consistent with last time tried. The renowned Heidi Barrett was the winemaker. WE-94 CR-90 Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

Peters Family Winery-Cabernet Sauvignon-Sonoma Mountain-California-2006-$28.99-A nose of sweet cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A smooth, medium to full bodied Cab, with blackberries, licorice and spice on finish, was decent, just lacked that extra complexity to be very good. WE-93 CR-89 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

A smooth, medium to full bodied Merlot, with jammy blackberry, currants, with some toasty vanilla on finish, a good value. WS-90 WE-86 CR-88 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
Kendall-Jackson Vineyards & Winery-Summation-Vintner’s Reserve-Sauvignon Blanc- Viognier-Chardonnay-Semillon-Roussanne-Pinot Blanc-Riesling-Muscat Cannelli-California-2009-$12.69-A nose of citrus and spice, medium straw in color. A light bodied white wine blend, with honey and lemon zest, grapefruit, spice and good sweet acidity, a nice summer wine. RP-89 WE-85 CR-87 Good with seafood, cheeses, salads.

JC Cellars-Syrah-Caldwell Vineyards-Napa Valley-California-2006-$35.00-A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark purple in color. A full bodied and smooth Syrah, with blackberry, blueberry, earthy spices, pepper and vanilla finish, very good. Caldwell Vineyard produces fantastic fruit, decant for a couple hours. WS-91 CR-91 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
Columbia Crest Winery-H-3-Cabernet Sauvignon-Horse Heaven Hills-Washington State-2008-$10.98-A nose of berry and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Cab, with black cherry, briary meats and fruits, licorice and tobacco, decent value. WS-88 WE-87 CR-87 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.

Nicholas Cole Cellars-Michele-Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot-Cabernet Franc-Petit Verdot-Walla Walla Valley-Washington State-2005-$22.22-A nose of cassis and spice, dark black purple in color. A full bodied blend, with blackberry, cassis, tar and smoke with spicy oak, a big mouthful and long finish, would buy more at this price. RP-89 WS-92 WE-90 CR-92 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
O’Leary Walker Wines-Blue Cutting Road-Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot-Clare Valley-Australia-2005-$11.52-A nose of heat and dark fruit, dark black in color. A full bodied, very hot blend, the 14.5% alcohol seems more like 17%. Even after an hour plus decant the heat was over the top, with black currants, cassis, and chocolate, got a bit better the second day. NR CR-84 Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

Palmeri Cellars-Cabernet Sauvignon-Syrah-Stagecoach Vineyard-Napa Valley-California-2004-$25.00-A nose of dark fruit and spices, dark garnet in color. A rich, smooth and full bodied blend. With currants, blackberry and chocolate and spice, a very good rich wine, with a long finish, wish I had more. Great QPR with a very cool label. NR CR-91 Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.

Linne Calodo Cellars-Problem Child-Zinfandel-Syrah-Mourvedre-Paso Robles-California-2007-$45.00-A nose of berry fruits and spice, dark purple in color. A smooth, full bodied Zin blend, with back cherry, raspberries, licorice and earthy qualities that make each sip have layers of flavors, long finish, an outstanding wine. I can’t say I have ever had a bad bottle of wine from this producer. RP-93 WS-94 CR-93 Good with meats, ribs, chicken.
Michelle Loosen-Eroica-Chateau Ste. Michelle-Dr. Loosen-Riesling-Columbia Valley-Washington State-2008-$16.99-A nose of crisp citrus and acidity, yellow straw in color. A smooth, medium bodied white wine, with melon, pear, stones minerals with good acidity, a very good refreshing wine. RP-91 WS-90 WE-93 CR-90 Good with seafood, cheeses, salads.

The Hogue Cellars-Merlot-Reserve-Wahluke Slope-Washington State-2006-$21.66-A nose of black cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A smooth, full bodied Merlot, with back cherry, currants, with Asian spices, a easy drinking wine, one of the better Merlots I have had in a while. WS-90 WE-91 CR-90 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
Kendall-Jackson Vineyards & Winery-Vintner’s Reserve-Cabernet Sauvignon-Sonoma and Napa Counties-California-2008-$14.09-A nose of dark fruits, dark amber in color. A very dry, medium to full bodied Cab, with blackberry, cassis, plum and some toast with spice. Was disappointed after WE review, way, way too dry on the palate. WE-92 CR-87 Good with ribs, burgers, chicken.

Bodegas Emilio Moro-Ribera Del Duero-Red Table Wine-Spain-2006-$19.99-A nose of dark fruit and smoke, dark black in color. A full bodied, smooch, with black cherry, blackberry, with a vanilla and spice finish, a good QPR, was better the last couple time i tried. RP-92 WS-91 WE-87 CR-89 Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.
Hedges Family Estate-Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon-Syrah-Cabernet Franc-Red Mountain-Washington State-2007-$19.27- A nose of ripe cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A full bodied blend, with black cherry, cassis, licorice with a chunky spice finish, good not great. WE-90 CR-88 Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
