Barossa Valley Estate Limited-E & E-Black Pepper-Shiraz-Barossa Valley-Australia-1998-$80.00-A elegant nose of dark fruit and spice, very dark purple in color. Had dinner with good friends who brought this beauty, smooth mix of blackberry, blueberry, plum, cedar and even after being 12 years old had a 30 second finish. It’s always intriguing when you get to open and enjoy a older classic, highly rated wine that due to proper cellaring delivers a memorable experience. WS-95 (WS- Highly Recommended) CR-5 Great with pasta, veal, chicken.
Orin Swift Cellars-The Prisoner-Red Wine-Napa Valley-California-2006-$32.99-A nose of plum and zesty spice, ruby/purple in color. A bold wine that is a mix of six grapes, mostly Zinfandel, wild berries, plum and earthy spice. I have had a couple vintages of this wine and they have been great. WS-91 (Highly Recommended) CR-4.5 Good with pasta, meats, deserts.
