R Wines-Red Lion-California-Cabernet Sauvignon-2006-$14.99-R Wines is owned by Chris

Ringland who is a rising star in the winemaking world. He is from Australia and also just starting making

wines in California.  His Australian Shiraz’s are very good and he is known for his bottles having the

greatest labels and this one is one of his coolest.  His 2005 vintage was called Green Lion.  The wine

has a good fruit forward nose, and was a good value for the price.  It had the typical good California

Cab taste, it could get better in a year or so drink now or let it sit in your cellar. NR  CR3.5  Good

with chicken, steak, pasta.

Bodegas Muga-Muga-Rioja-Spain-White Wine-2007-$13.25-Wanted to adventure out and try a

white wine from Spain since I enjoy the red white from there so much.  The wine was light and crisp,

a bit more acidity than I like, was ok, did not love it.  Won’t give up on trying a different white variety

from Spain.  WS83  CR3  Good with seafood, chicken, salad.
