St. Francis Winery & Vineyard-Bacchi Vineyard-Old Vines Zinfandel-Russian River Valley-California-2006-$35.00-A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark amber in color.  A smooth easy drinking Zin, plum, blackberry, spice and pepper not over the top with well integrated tannins.  I have been a big fan of their reserve Zins for years now.             NR            CR-4.5           Good with chicken, steak, pasta.

John Duval Wines-Entity-Shiraz-Barossa Valley-Australia-2004-$35.00-A nose of dark fruit and toast, dark opaque purple in color.  This wine has gotten better with age, blackberry, plum, cassis, pepper, elegant for a big Shiraz.  A special bottle of wine that would still be good years from now.        RP-95            WS-92             WE-92            CR-4.5-5            Good with veal, chicken and pork.
