Picchetti Winery-Cabernet Sauvignon-Leslie’s Estate-Santa Cruz Mountains-California-2007-14.3 Alcohol-$50.00-A huge nose of dark fruits, Asian spices, one of my Top 10 greatest smelling reds, did not want to stop swirling and smelling, dark garnet in color, hard to believe the wine was 12 years old.  A smooth medium to full bodied red, with blueberry, cassis, layers of flavors and spiced long finish, a great Cab.  Bought at Picchetti’s now closed tasting room at South Lake Tahoe back in 2010 and bottle was properly stored at 55 degrees, just visited their winery in San Jose, a must stop if in that area.          NR          CR-95          Good with steak, chicken, pasta.         Two Corks Bonus.

Bodega El Esteco-Don David-Malbec-Reserve-Calchaqui Valley-Argentina-2017-13.9% Alcohol-$11.99-A nose of some dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color.  A medium to full bodies red, with blackberries, plum, coffee and spice on finish.  A good value.          WS-90 (#65 WS Top 100 2018)          CR-88          Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
