Bridlewood Estate Winery-Viognier-Reserve-Central Coast-California-2007-$15.99-Crisp citrus, floral nose, honey and peach flavors, light, not over oaked, nice acidity. I just found this variety last year and enjoy it very much as a break from a Chardonnay, but not like a Pinot Gris which I dislike. A great summer wine, great value for what it delivers. RP-88 WS-86 CR-4-4.5 Good with chicken, any type of fish or shellfish, salad, cheeses, pasta.
Keesha Vineyards-Pinot Noir-Mendocino County-California-2006-$12.98-Earthy, dark fruit nose, nice Pinot Noir color (you can see through the wine in the glass). It was not bad, a little tart, but for a $13 Pinot it was good. Great wines, especially Cabs are coming out of this area north of Sonoma County. NR CR-3.5 Good with chicken, meats, pasta.
I’ve read some good stuff here. Definitely worth bookmarking for revisiting.
