Lindquist-Qupe-Syrah-Bien Nacido Hillside Estate-Santa Maria Valley-California-2006-$28.99-A nose of dark fruits and pepper, dark purple in color.  A full bodied and thick Syrah, with blackberry,  black raspberry and cassis flavors, pepper and spice, was a bit disappointed considering the renowned vineyard.  I believe I did not decant long enough, give it a few hours, will see if last bottle is any better in six months.                   RP-89                WE-87              CR-89               Good with steak, ribs, chicken. 

Kastania Vineyards-Jaden & Keira’s Cuvee-Pinot Noir-Sonoma Coast-California-2007-$19.82-A nose of cherry vanilla, beautiful medium ruby in color.    A medium bodied Pinot, with plum, Bing cherry,  ripe berry, and cola, with a long finish, good stuff, especially at the Cinderella price.                  WS-88               CR-91                 Good with seafood, cheeses, salads.
