Hunt Family Cellars-Cab 9-Cabernet Sauvignon-Paso Robles-California-2004-13.8% Alcohol-$29.99-A nose of earthy dark fruit, dark purple in color.   A smooth, full bodied Cab, blackberry, cassis, with some vegetal and earth qualities, is smooth now and still very good.             NR            CR-90             Good with steak, chicken, pasta.




McCrea Cellars, Inc.-Syrah-Ciel du Cheval Vineyard-Red Mountain-Washington State-2006-14.8% Alcohol-$19.99-A very distinct and bold nose of red and dark fruits and spice, dark purple in color, one of the biggest fruit noses I can recall.   A full bodied single vineyard Syrah with red and black currants, blackberries, with layers of exotic spices and chocolate, long finish.            WE-93             CR-91             Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
