Bill and Noel Ireland-Fireblock-Dry Riesling-Watervale-Clare Valley-Australia-2008-$11.11-A nose of minerals and citrus, pale straw color. Very dry, lemon, medium acidity, light bodied, just can’t get into a Riesling…not bad, just my fav. RP-88 WS-88 CR-87 Good with seafood, cheese, salads.
The Colonial Estate-Expatrie-Reserve Semillon-Barossa-Australia-2006-$14.88-A nose of spice, lemon and citrus, medium golden in color. Crisp, juicy lemon crisp, honeysuckle, minerals, a smooth enjoyable white wine. RP-90 CR-90 Good with seafood, cheese, salads.
Yalumba Winery-Viognier-Eden Valley-Australia-2008-$15.99-A nose of honey and minerals, pale straw to yellow in color. A medium to full bodied white, honey, pear, with some spice, and minerals, smooth, easy drinking, not as fruit driven as a Californian Viognier (which I prefer). WS-92 (Top 100 2009 #39) RP-86 CR-87 Good with cheese, chicken, salads.
