St. Francis Winery & Vineyard-Old Vine Zinfandel-Bacchi Vineyard-Russian River Valley-California-2006-$37.50-A nose of blackberry and spice, dark garnet in color.   A full bodied, delicious Zin, blackberry, smoke, toast, some vanilla, a great tasting red.   I really have enjoyed the St. Francis Reserve Zins over the years, they have a great tasting room.                  NR              CR-92              Good with steak, chicken, pasta.

Ottimino-Little 8-Rancho Bello Vineyard-Zinfandel-Russian River Valley-California-2006-$25.00-A nose of big dark fruit, blackish purple in color.  A big, full bodied Zin, blackberries, black cherry,  licorice, spice, a little hot…but if you want a big a** wine this is it.                WS-86            WE-90              CR-90                Good with steak, ribs, chicken.

Schrader Cellars-Vieux-Os-Hell Hole Vineyard-Zinfandel-Old Vine-Napa Valley-California-2005-$41.49-A big nose of dark fruit and spice, blackish purple in color.  Blackberry, black cherries, pepper, spice,  a full bodied big boy even being five years old, with some heat still there, but I love a big ass Zin, so it fit that mold.  The bottle was very unique in it’s shape.             RP-88             WS-83            CR-90            Good with ribs, chicken, pasta.
