Deloach Vineyards-Pinot Noir-Russian River Valley-California-2007-$15.99-A nose of spicy dark fruit, medium ruby color.  A nice smooth drinking Pinot, velverty, cola, spice.   A good Pinot that really delivers for its value.       NR        CR-4-4.5       Good with chicken, seafood, pasta.

Holdredge Wines-Pinot Noir-Russian River Valley-California-2006-$27.99-A pleasant nose of spicey fruit, nice Pinot color where you can see your fingers through the wineglass.   A nice drinking wine, spicy plum and strawberry, floral earthy.         WS-87       CR-4-4.5       Good with chicken, salads, seafood.

Ayana Wine Cellars-Pinot Noir-California-2006-$13.99-I have not had a Pinot in awhile so I was looking forward to trying this one from a winery I had no knowledge of..and it seems these days that you have to spend more than $35 to get a good Pinot Noir.  Nose was smooth, good fruit, earthly, what you expect from a good Pinot, nice color, and the taste was great. I like to read what the bottles say if they have a description of the wine on them, they were right on, velvety tannins and lush red berry fruit.  A awesome buy. Now I have to search the net to find some more.        NR     CR-4-4.5      Good with chicken,  seafood, pasta.

Lafond Vineyards-SRH-Sta. Rita Hills-Pinot Noir-California-2007-$16.99-A pleasant nose of earth and cherries, good Pinot Noir medium color.  A good drinking Pinot with spice, cherries, currants, and earth tones.   Hard finding a Pinot under $25-30 these days, have tried both the 2006 and 2007 vintages and each were consistent and good value.        NR       CR-4      Good with chicken, seafood, salads.
