Vina Altair-Altair-Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot-Carmenere-Cachapoal Valley-Chile-2002-$65.00-A big bold nose of dark fruit and spice, dark ruby in color.  A smooth mix of spice, earth, black cherry, currants, nice tannins still for a wine that was cellared.  A great wine for special occasions,  I recommend that you decant for 1 hour, especially for younger vintages.         WS-89       CR-4.5-5    Good with steak, seafood and pasta.

Odfjell Vineyards-Armador-Carmenere-Valle Del Maule-Valle Del Maipo-Chile-2005-$10.99-A nose of roasted meats, very interesting.  Very dark, purple.  A smooth, big, interesting flavor of roasted meat, black cherry and dark chocolate.  A wine that delivers allot of taste for it’s price, there are great values coming out of Chile, Spain, Portugal.             RP-89          WS-87           CR-4    Good with pasta, chicken.

Vina Concha y Toro-Marques de Casa Concha-Cabernet Sauvignon-Puente Alto Vineyard-Maipo Valley-Chile-2005-$20.00-A nose of dark fruit with some spice, very dark in color.  A smooth full bodied wine, black currants, tobacco, dark licorice, good value.              WS-91            RP-88      CR-4      Good with meats, pasta, ribs.
