Tasting Notes
Beautifully opaque garnet in color; rhubarb and cherry fruit scents lift from the glass mingled with aromas of cigar box, white pepper and violets. On the palate, this wine presents flavors of pomegranate, raspberry, forest floor and allspice. A medium weight Pinot Noir, UNITY exhibits young tannins that will soon fall into place offering velvet-layered texture. This stunning vintage boasts incredible ripe fruit aromatics of black cherry, blackberry and powdered cocoa. On the palate, flavors of ripe plum and cherry cola seamlessly match oak influenced caramel, dark chocolate and clove. 2010 UNITY will remind fans of the 2008 with its intense concentration and fruit focus. More time in the glass leads way to countless additional aromas and flavors, continuing to improve well into the second day open (indicative of a long life ahead).
