The Spanish Wine Festival is the most important, comprehensive and culturally-focused vinous event of the year.

Join us for this opportunity to celebrate and sample over 150 of the best Spanish wine selections available on the US market, paired with scrumptious Spanish cuisine. Every major wine region will be represented, including such classics as Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Priorat and sherry and hot emerging regions like Bierzo, Jumilla, Ribeira Sacra and more. To make this year’s event even more exclusive and enjoyable than ever we will be limiting the number of attendees. Don’t miss out on the festive food and wine celebration.

PJ Wine is very proud to support Action Against Hunger. Action Against Hunger/Action Contre la Faim (www.actionagainsthunger.org) is an international network committed to saving the lives of malnourished children and their families while ensuring access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger. Action Against Hunger has pursued its vision of a world without hunger for nearly three decades, combating hunger in emergency situations of conflict, natural disaster, and chronic food insecurity. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Action Against Hunger.

PJ Wine is uniquely qualified to be the major sponsor for this wine extravaganza. PJ’s has built a nationally recognized reputation for its extensive Spanish wine collection. Named one of the best retailers in the country for Spanish wines by The Rosengarten Report, the PJ Wine team tastes thousands of Spanish wines every year. They’ve accumulated years of experience tasting and traveling to Spain allowing them to uncover and bring back the very best of Spain.

The wines at the Spanish Wine Festival will be complemented by NYC-based vendors devoted to Spanish cheeses, mouthwatering tapas and other cuisine celebrating Spanish culinary traditions. Spanish music will round out this authentic and festive taste of Spain.

Tasting highlights will include many of the most highly acclaimed wines in years past such as top Ribera del Duero houses Vega Sicilia Valbuena 2007 and Unico 1996, Emilio Moro Malleolus de Sancho Martin 2006; Priorat powerhouses Clos Martinet and Clos Mogador; mini-verticals of Rioja classics like Lopez de Heredia Tondonia and Bosconia, La Rioja Alta 904 and La Rioja Alta Alberdi; Toro knockouts Numanthia Termanthia and Teso la Monja’s Alabaster; a sherry flight of the extremely trendy and oh-so-rare La Bota series as well as the Valdespino “Viejisimo Toneles.”

The tasting will take place at the modern yet rustic 5th floor of the Metropolitan Pavilion called “The Level.” It is located at 123 West 18th St in between 6th and 7th avenue. Tickets for the event are $99.99 per person ($159.99 for VIP access).
