Sangio 500h Robert Biale Vineyards Update

Presenting the 2016
Nonna’s Sangiovese

A Biale Estate Oak Knoll District Sangiovese
In 1992, one year after we started the winery, Aldo Biale converted a small vineyard block next to the Black Chicken vineyard to Sangiovese and named it after his mother, Cristina Biale, "Nonna." Nonna was the Biale family matriarch who kept the farm and vineyards going after losing her husband Pietro at a young age. 1995 was the first vintage of Nonna’s Sangiovese and it turned out to be so good that we broke from our Zinfandel course and added it to the Biale repertoire. This is a very limited wine with only 175 cases produced and only a small amount left. Select your allocation now before it is too late!

Black Chicken Society Price:
$43 per bottle
Retail Price:
$48 per bottle

Winemaker Notes: This wine is full of rustic red fruit aromas including Bing cherries, rhubarb, strawberries and plum as well as hints of chamomile and savory spice. It is medium bodied with a clean and bright entry. Full textural tannins with nice acidity make this a perfect wine for pairing with food. Drink now or cellar through 2020.
