Wow, it is summertime here! After a very cool May, June was fairly warm, and July is starting off a bit toasty. All of which means that the grapes are ripening quickly! We are just starting to see some color in our earliest Pinot Noir vineyards, which means that harvest is about 2 months away! I’ve been out visiting vineyards at every opportunity and right now things look set up for a very good harvest! But, before harvest comes along, we wanted to remind you about our upcoming Oregon Wine Tasting (featuring a whole slew of great wineries) and also let you know about some new press, including a 90 from Wine Spectator on our new 2013 Russian River Valley Zinfandel! The deadline for $9 case shipping has been extended through July 10th and discounts now include the Russian River Zinfandel!
OREGON WINE TASTING: We are hosting an exciting tasting of Oregon Wineries here at Siduri. On Wednesday, July 8 from 5:00pm-7:00pm we have a large number of great Oregon producers showing their wines at our facility at 981 Airway Court, Suite E in Santa Rosa. Wines will be paired with chef prepared small bites. We are selling tickets for this event and anticipate that it will sell out! Here are the ticket details:

We’ve been on quite a roll recently with the press — with several of our Pinot Noirs garnering some great reviews, but also now our truly bargain-priced 2013 Novy Russian River Valley Zinfandel joining into the score parade! This Zinfandel has been selling quite quickly and we are guessing it will sell out during the month of July! It’s a fantastic blend of Papera, Limerick Lane, and Carlisle Vineyards and is a perfect companion for all of the meals you’re likely to cook on the grill! • Viognier is truly one of the wines that gets us excited. We love the great examples from Condrieu and find that the grape has adapted incredibly well in California. We chose to make our Viognier in a crisper (no malolactic fermentation), non-oaky (no new oak, mainly stainless steel) fashion. A wine writer I was tasting with this past weekend described our Viognier as more of a Georges Vernay style, which I took as a compliment.

CRUISING WITH SIDURI WINES: Many of you went with us on the 2014 cruise throughout the Mediterranean. We had such a fun time that we’re going on another cruise during the summer of 2016, this time from Lisbon to Paris. We hope to reunite with our old friends and make new ones! This is an incredible experience and we truly had a blast last time. This time around we know even better what to do and it will be even more fun! Check it out here.
