Caldwell Vineyard-Napa-California-Caldwell Vineyard was founded by John Caldwell in 1982,  on a 123 acre ranch with over 60 acres planted to grapes.  With the right soil and weather conditions, Caldwell Vineyard produces top end Cabernet Sauvignon, a unique red blend called Rocket  Science, Merlot, Syrah and Chardonnay.  I have had the pleasure to drink the 2004, 2005, 2006 and soon with taste the 2007 Rocket Science.  This blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tannat, Carmenere, and Cabernet Franc has evolved from a very good wine for it’s 2004 vintage  to a fantastic wine for it’s  2006 vintage, I look forward to trying the 2007 vintage which is now in my cellar.  The bottle design has changed also, from a cool label in 2004 and 2005 to one of the most unique wine bottle shapes of a tapered rocket ship in 2006 and 2007.   I highly recommend you try and find this most interesting wine, while the 2007 vintage is still available.
