New CH Wine is arriving NOW in the Costco Christiana location! While the headliner of this roadshow is clearly the 2012 Private Reserve Napa Cabernet (can anyone say "cult" California winery?) there’s a full compliment of value-oriented offerings. Lot 468 Oakville Meritage is a Merlot/Cabernet blend sourced from the heart of Oakville, and is comprised of some of the best componentry we’ve ever had in a blend. Also look for our new Chardonnay release, Lot 486 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay. This is the 5th year of our most popular Arroyo Seco Chardonnay program, and with this vintage we return to a deeper, richer, more tropical style. Last but certainly not least is the one you’ll buy by the case - Lot 473 Lake County Red Blend is juicy goodness priced to by your new everyday drinker. Lot 486 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay: Lot 486 is seductively layered with riveting aromatics and unctuous texture. Orange blossom, lemon zest, toasted almond and honeysuckle elide softly with mineral and creamy oak. 2014 was another winner of a harvest with near perfect ripening conditions, replete with warming and cooling trends that allowed for extended hang-times and a relaxed, pick-it-when-its-perfect crush scenario. 60% of the fruit was barrel fermented in new American oak, the remainder in stainless steel.
Lot 468 Oakville (Napa Valley) Meritage: A beautiful blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a touch of Malbec. Aged in 40% new French oak, Lot 468 displays the classic elements that define the Oakville AVA. Dip your nose in the glass and discover plush Merlot notes of plum, red currant, green olives, and fresh herbs that mesh seamlessly in a framework of dusty black fruit and earth provided by the Cabernet. On the palate, mouth coating tannins are infused with black cherry and cassis, with enough acidity for a long and lingering finish.
Cameron Hughes 2012 Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: This is the newly released latest installment of our Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Collection. This 2012 Cabernet is from one of the most iconoclastic cult producers in the history of Napa Valley. It just doesn’t get better than this — a world-class collection of cult Napa Valley Cabernet for a fraction of the price.
Lot 473 Lake County Red Blend: This Zinfandel, Syrah, Tempranillo, and Petite Sirah blend is primarily sourced from one of the best vineyards in the Lake County area, Madder Lake Vineyard. Located on a seriously steep and rocky hillside at 2,250 foot elevation, these head-pruned Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Syrah vines produce fantastically rich and dense fruit that typically comes with a high price tag!
