Vina Altair-Altair-Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot-Carmenère-Cachapoal Valley-Chile-2002-$65.00-A massive nose of dark fruit and tobacco, dark black in color.  A full bodied and still big and heavy blend, even after a 2-3 hour decant.  Very Bordeaux like, black currants, plum, black cherry, some dark chocolate, but complex tar and tobacco, huge wine that could last another five plus years in a good cellar, a classic wine.                 WS-89                  WE-88                 CR-92                  Good with steak, ribs, chicken.

Bonterra Vineyards-Cabernet Sauvignon-Organic-Mendocino and Lake County-California-2008-$10.99-A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark purple in color.  A medium to full bodied Cab, black currants, blackberries, some herbs, some smoke, not as good as the 2006 but a easy drinker, very good QPR.                WS-81                 WE-92                   CR-87                    Good with meats, chicken, pasta.
