Wolf Blass Wines-Yellow Label-Shiraz-South Australia-2007-$9.99-A nice nose of spicy fruit, dark purple in color.  A smooth, creamy, with blueberry, currants, a little spice.  A good value for this price level.            WS-88        CR-4          Good with burgers, pasta, salads.

Torzi Matthews Vintners-Schist Rock-Shiraz-Barossa-Australia-2007-$15.99-A nose of sweet plum, dark in color.  A very plum driven flavor, hearty cherry, some spice.  I did not find it as smooth as the critics did.           WS-92         RP-90        CR-3.5        Good with chicken, pasta.

Orlando Wines-Jacob’s Creek-Reserve-Shiraz-South Australia-2006-$11.99-Nice nose of dark fruit, dark in color.  Plum, blackberry, ripe fruit, smooth, a good value which can be found in so many Australian Shiraz’s.              WS-89          CR-4          Good with meat, chicken, pasta.

Shoofly Wines-Adelaide-Shiraz-Mclaren Flat-Australia-2008-$7.99-A fruit bomb of cherry and roasted meat, very interesting nose, very dark in color.  An interesting fun wine for drinking alone or with food, cherry, citrus, plum and smoky meat. For $8 bucks how can you go wrong unless you like old world less fruit driven wine.           NR         CR-4         Good with chicken, pasta.

Small Gully-Mr. Black’s Concoction-Shiraz-Viognier-Barossa Valley-Australia-2004-$18.00-A big nose of dark fruit and bacon, purple black in color.  A big wine, smooth and full bodied fruit bomb.  Cherry, blueberry, toast, mouth filling taste, interesting label..             RP-90        WS-87            CR-4.5          Good with ribs, pasta and spicy chicken.

Mollydooker Wines-The Boxer-Shiraz-McLaren Vale-Australia-2007-$25.00-A big nose of dark fruit, dark purple color.  A big wine, blackberry, blueberry, spice, and long mouth feel. The Boxer year after year is a big wine, 16% alcohol which in reality is probably higher, a very good wine, still young since I did notice the alcohol more than other years.                  RP-93              WS-90                 CR-4-4.5             Good with pasta, meats, ribs.
