Ms. Cannizzo made her Carnegie Hall debut in November, 2007 in Mahler’s Eighth Symphony and was the soprano soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elijah at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark in May, 2008.

Her recent roles have included LiĆ¹ in Turandot, Donna Anna in the Russian opera Kammenyj Gost, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Elsie Maynard in the Yeoman of the Guard, Mabel in the Pirates of Penzance, and Adele in Die Fledermaus.

Jeff Sapara of Quintessa Winery will be hosting the evening, speaking about the music and the wines he will be presenting from Huneeus Vintners. Those of you who were with us for last year’s Italian Opera night will remeber Jeff’s amazing extemporaneous performance, both entertaining and informative. This year, actually knowing the musical program beforehand, he promises to do an even better job.

The wines for the event will include Flowers Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, Faust Cabernet Sauvignon and the stellar Quintessa.
