Penfolds-Koonunga Hill-Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon-Australia-2006-$12.00-I have no idea
what a Koonunga is..but this is a enjoyable wine. Medium nose, dark fruit, rich dark berry, spice and
chocolate, not too much oak. A very good price for a wine that delivers this much. RP-91 CR-4
Good with steak, chicken, pasta.
Ayana Wine Cellars-Pinot Noir-Sonoma County-California-2007-$13.99-I reviewed the 2006
recently and it was great, tried to find more and now the 2007 is out..it had a light nose, was a
light version of the 2006 which brought allot more to the glass. It was not bad just a great lesson that
when you drink a wine you cannot assume that another vintage of that wine will be the same.
NR CR-3-3.5 Good with steak, chicken, pasta, shellfish.
