Bodegas Y Vinedos De Murcia-Altos Del Cuco-2007-Spain-Monastrell, Syrah, Tempranillo-$5.99-Really, its a $6 wine..and it’s not a $2 buck Chuck..funny the front label says..full bodied, fruity wine with jammy flavors..ok not what you would expect from a $6 wine..more like drink this if you want to get drunk and maybe not sick..remember this name is CUCO not the Steven King’s CUJO..it was just what the label said, it was smooth, and enjoyable. Now if you like a wine that tastes like dirt or has 100 yr terroir..don’t buy this, otherwise it delivers with taste and value. NR CR3-3.5 Good with meats, pasta.
Rosenblum Cellars-Paso Robles-California-2006-Zinfandel-$18.00-Bottle was given to me by a good friend/co-worker as a B-Day gift. It had a good nose, was smooth, enjoyable..label said, spicy earth tones, flavors of rich cherry, black raspberry, chocolate and aromas of anise..if I have a choice I prefer a bigger ass Zin but for the price this was very good. WS88 CR3-3.5 Goof with chicken, pasta, ribs.
